Our Epsilon chapter is at full steam ahead and ready for this semester’s events. We are ready to step up to any challenges and have a very productive year.

A message from our chapter president:

“Hey Tau Bates,

We had our first meetings and everything looks like it will work out perfectly for the semester! We have some motivated new members that have stepped into chair positions, and officers elect to fill all of the vacating positions next year. In total we have a group of 20 officers, chairs, and committee members!
We have a lot of awesome events this semester: 3 EF sessions, 2 K-12 MindSET sessions, a bunch of volunteer events with FAU and other schools, a weekly Lego Mindstorm session with 1st and 3rd grades, and more. The best way to find out about all of these events is to check the calendar on tbp.fau.edu/events, our chapter website which has been wonderfully edited recently. We will also be sending sign up sheets and reminders closer to the events, but it’s always good to plan ahead.
This semester we also have the District 5 Convention at Clemson University in South Carolina! It’s during the first weekend of March (beginning of spring break), and I hope to get a big group up there, especially officers and chairs. We had a blast last year at districts, and met a lot of great people. This year will be even more fun! The plan is to rent/borrow a van and drive all of us up in a big group on Friday afternoon after classes. We’ll get there early Saturday morning, check into the hotel, get some sleep, and start the convention at 2 on Saturday. Sunday afternoon we’ll drive back and return early Monday morning. Road trip anyone?
We need to have a general idea of how many of you want to go, so please sign up here by Wednesday: D5 Convention
There’s a great semester ahead of us and I look forward to working with you all as it progresses!
Sincerely,
Stewart Baskin “
